Uploaded documents

FeeCheck processes PDFs, screenshots, photos, or pasted text to identify the document type, provider, service configuration, and charges. Raw uploaded documents are not retained in the FeeCheck database after the analysis request is completed.

Personal identifiers

The analysis is designed to ignore customer names, account numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, policy numbers, payment-card or bank details, QR codes, and similar identifiers. If you prefer, you can upload a screenshot with identifying information removed.

Aggregate comparison data

FeeCheck may use de-identified pricing and service details from a scan to update aggregate comparison statistics. For example, a wireless scan may contribute a price to an aggregate cohort for a provider, plan type, and line count. FeeCheck does not need to retain your individual bill to maintain those running statistics.

Advertising and offers

FeeCheck may show general display advertising and alternatives relevant to the detected service category and provider. Private bill contents, account numbers, balances, phone numbers, addresses, and raw documents are not sent to advertisers or providers for targeting. A provider receives a normal web visit only if you choose to click an offer. Paid or affiliate placements are labeled Sponsored.

Display advertising may be served by Google or other advertising partners. Those services may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies and applicable consent choices. FeeCheck does not provide the private contents of an uploaded bill to those advertising services.

Payments

Paid FeeCheck reports use Stripe Checkout. Payment-card details are entered with Stripe and are not stored by FeeCheck. FeeCheck may temporarily retain a de-identified analysis token so your purchased report can be restored after checkout.

Operational data

FeeCheck uses a short-lived hashed network identifier for rate limiting. Hosting and AI processing are provided through Cloudflare services.
